The approximate width of the fabric strips: approx 7-8 cm.

The ribbons are obtained by cutting the fabrics of the sari that are discarded from the factories.

The ribbons are cut by women from cooperatives in India, in areas considered particularly disadvantaged.

Buying these tapes therefore helps the female populations who produce them and, being made of recycled fabrics, they do not burden the ecosystem, but favor the rebirth of something that would otherwise increase the amount of waste.

We therefore speak of ethical yarns, which do not weigh on Mother Earth.

It is important to note that the total meters are made up of several tapes sewn or knotted together, it is not a single tape. The length of the individual tapes is variable, from 20/30 cm to over one meter, it is not possible to know in advance the length of the individual tapes, they will therefore be sent in a mix according to the available ribbons part.

The ribbons are raw cut, the fabric is "torn" to make the ribbons, therefore they do not have regular and stitched edges, but are frayed.

Given the particular handmade workmanship and the fact that the fabrics are recycled, there can have cuts, tears, stains or holes.

We will try to make sure that these defects are as less invasive as possible, but it is not possible to completely eliminate them, they are part of the typology of these ribbons.

No two rolls are the same, all fabrics are different, so the images you see are indicative of the type of product, but they may arrive in different colors from those you see.

All this makes each tape unique and your projects always original and never equal to themselves.
