Indian Sari Silk ribbons.
The ribbons are obtained by hand-dying the fabrics of the saris that are left over from by the factories.
To dye the ribbons are women of cooperatives in the North of India, in areas considered particularly disadvantaged.
Buying these tapes, the female populations that produce them are therefore helped and, being made of recycled fabrics, tthe ribbons do not mistreat the ecosystem.
So you can favor the rebirth of something and not to increasing the quantity of waste.
This ribbons are ethical yarns, which do not weigh on Mother Earth.
The ribbons are perfect for all those who are creative projects, from costume jewelery to paintings, the only limit is your imagination.
Vivid colors, magical and full of soul.
It is possible to choose between two packs, one of 5 and one of 10 meters (respectively about 5,47 and 10,94 yards).
It is important to note that the total meters will not necessarily to be continuous even if we do our best because they are, also they are not formed by a single tape, but by more tapes sewn together (as you can see in the photos).
Given the particular processing done by hand and the fact that the fabrics are recycled, it is not possible to guarantee the width (which can vary from about 0,5 cm to even 3 or 4 cm) or the type of fabric that can vary from skein to skein. It is always Indian silk fabric, but the texture and thickness of the fabric may vary slightly from the photos.
The colors of the ribbons are as similar as possible to those shown in the picture, but may vary depending on the dyeing of the moment which, being handmade, will never be perfectly identical to the previous one.
All these features make each tape unique and your designs always original and never the same to themselves.
We always try to make sure that the images that we show you are as faithful as possible to the real objects that will arrive at home, but are still possible that images may look different (color) due to many monitor or device resolutions
